Photographer that comes with a fine art degree and interests in cooking, coffee, craft beer, trap shooting, travelling, critical theory, film and books. I’m currently living in Dublin, having previously lived in Waterford & London. Further moves in the future are more than possible.
I like photographing the banal, strange light, natural light, vernacular items and scenes I’ve become accustomed to. I enjoy people; photographing them, their possessions, their organisation of their possessions, their passions and their interactions. I enjoy storytelling, however, I’m far better at creating with imagery than words. I love reading books, I love watching films, I love listening to peoples tales.
Professionally, I photograph, I assist, I produce, I process, I develop, I read, I print and I teach. I’m interested in art direction, I’m interested in copyrighting. I particularly enjoy photographinh commercial, fashion, food & drink, portraiture and editorial, which is what you’ll mostly come across here. This blog is a combination of the above, my personal and professional photographs. I hope you like it.
Coffee? You’ll see a lot of it here. It’s a passion of mine. I don’t go far without it. Actually, I generally don’t travel without it. And when I do travel, some form of coffee/cafe tour usually dictates it. I’ve never really worked *in* coffee, I far prefer the other side of the bar. I’m a qualified SCAE barista judge, and I’ve judged the Irish Barista Championship and Irish Brewers Cup, along with competing and winning the 2012 Irish Cup Tasters Championship.
